How to reverse instant money on Standard Bank App

If, for any reason, you need to cancel a transaction made using Standard Bank’s Instant Money service, you can follow these steps. It’s important to note that a non-refundable service fee of R9.99 is charged along with the sent sum.

  1. Log into Your Internet Banking Account: Start by logging into your Internet Banking account.
  2. Access the ‘Payments’ Menu: Once logged in, place your cursor on the ‘Payments’ menu.
  3. Navigate to ‘Instant Money’: Move your cursor to the ‘Instant Money’ option and click on it.
  4. Select ‘Cancel Instant Money Transaction’: On the ‘Instant Money’ page, you’ll find the option to ‘Cancel Instant Money transaction.’ Click on it.
  5. Choose the Transaction to Cancel: A list of transactions will appear. Select the specific transaction you intend to cancel by clicking on the radio button located to the left of the transaction(s).
  6. Enter the OTP: To proceed, you’ll need to enter the OTP (One-Time Password) you receive on your phone or email. Once entered, click ‘Next.’
  7. Enter the Cash Collection Pin: Provide the Cash Collection Pin that you had used for the original transaction and click ‘Next.’
  8. Review and Confirm: Review all the information you’ve entered for accuracy. When you’re satisfied that everything is in order, click ‘Confirm’ to complete the cancellation process.
  9. Confirmation of Cancellation: After clicking ‘Confirm,’ you’ll receive a notification indicating that the cancellation was successful. This will be displayed on the page that follows.
